Basics of stock market

It is my second blog. Today is a happy day as Nifty rise above 8200 as it made a 'double bottom' chart.
Now I move towards basic knowledge,
 
What is a share ?
#ans - Share is a part of capital which company generate from FII,DII,Retailers etc.

How company distribute shares in the public ?
#ans - Company distribute shares through IPO (Initial Public Offer)  with the permission of SEBI (Securities Exchange Board of India) in the primary market and after listing the company in stock market , the company enters into secondary market.

How shares exchanges in the secondary market ?
#ans - Company enters into secondary market after listing the company in stock market. Company shares are purchase and sales by buyers and sellers. Buyer or seller may be trader,investor . Demand and supply rule applies in increasing or decreasing value of stock (share).

What is portfolio ?
#ans - It is set of shares  may be of different sectors or companies which you holds.

Which are the different sectors trading in stock market ?
#ans - IT, Metal , Bank, Finance, Insurance, Pharmaceutical, Chemical, Reality, Infrastructure, Tea and Coffee, Rubber, Textile, FMCG, Ceramic, Marble, Sugar , Electronic, Power, Defence, Shipping, Furniture, Paper, Auto, Tyre, Cement, Communication, Brokers, Agriculture, Oil and Gas, Airways, Manufacturing etc.

2 types of method to predict the stock

1.   Fundamental Method      Fundamental is  the study of present situation and assuming the future i.e. balance sheet , profit and loss statement, debt, cash flow, management of company. etc. This method mostly used for long-term investment. 2.   Technical Analysis      Technical Analysis is the study of number of charts, graphs, patterns of the stock value followed in the past. The information is gathered from historical data. This method mostly used for intra-day, short term trading and sometimes for long-term trading also.
